Pensions communication
Clear communication is essential. The Pensioenwet (Dutch Pensions Act) demands that pension providers communicate thoroughly, clearly and promptly with all parties concerned. Inaccurate communication may lead to unexpected obligations.
Research shows that most employees are not aware of the contents of their pension plan. Informing, educating and actively supporting employee engagement will raise awareness, promote individual ownership and increase the perceived value of the pension fund.
LCP helps pension funds, employers and works councils with their communication process. We always focus on delivering clear advice to our clients, so clear communication certainly characterises our work.
For example, areas to consider within the communication process might be the contents of the pension plan, premium policy, financial position of the pension fund or options regarding a DC scheme.
LCP assists clients with their pension communication process by:
- delivering presentations to members, former members and pensioners
- drafting easy to understand pension brochures, newsletters and pension (news) papers
- writing clear and informative text for client websites
